Local pressure grows on Inner West Mayor Darcy Byrne to withdraw form sham antisemitism summit.

Mayors and councillors around Australia are being offered free flights, accommodation, and meals to attend a Gold Coast “antisemitism summit” from 3–5 September 2025. Marrickville protest calls for sanctions against Israel

Over a hundred people joined a march organised by Stop the War on Palestine in Marrickville on Saturday 17^th August 2024.

Participants initially gathered at Sydenham Station car park at 1.00pm before marching along Marrickville Road to PM Anthony Albanese’s electoral office in Marrickville. Other community groups that joined the march included Teachers and School Staff for Palestine and the Inner West for Palestine group. Submissions

May 2024 - MPG's submission to the review of NSW Roads and Crimes Legislation Amendment Act 2022 prepared by Kosmas Stergiou. NSW’s anti-protest laws have curtailed the fundamental right to protest and have a detrimental impact on democracy and the community's capacity to enact societal change. MPG calls for the repeal of amendments to the Crimes Acts, Part 4AF and the introduction of legislation to protect the right to protest peacefully.
Feb 2024 - MPG's submission prepared by Craig Walters and Peter Griffin to the Senate Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs, Defence and Trade on Australian Naval Nuclear Power Safety Bill 2023. Other submissions to this inquiry can be found here. MPG's submission is number 12 in the list.
